7.8 METERS OF AQUATORIA DEPTH ACCESSORIES CONFIRMED FOR ASRZ

Company
Based on the results of annual measurements of depth carried out by the AMPU and the State Hydrography, and in accordance with directive from the Captain of Mariupol port dated May 22, 2020 the passage draft of the water area of the Azov Shipyard is confirmed as 7.8 meters instead of 7.7 meters in 2019.
A map of depth measurements was provided by SRZ LLC as a business entity in this area.
Due to the draft increase for each large-tonnage vessel, an additional 800 tons of cargo will be loaded on average at ASRZ, which will increase the competitiveness of the enterprise, reduce the cost of marine logistics and the cost of products transported for export.
On May 19, the Port Council discussed the prospects for increasing ships calls to the port of Mariupol, and, taking into account the above, it was decided to consider the feasibility of additional dredging of the ASRZ repair basin and the budget for carrying out these works for 2021.
Recall that in 2019, by Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 896 dated October 28, 2019, “On the payment of funds for supplements to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on 24 September 2008 p. N 853”, the water area of the marine terminal of SRZ LLC entered the borders of the seaport of Mariupol.  Hereby, in this way the legal responsibility of AMPU for dredging this area was streamlined.
